The Reports Collection consists of reports and proposals generated by the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and other related entities on topics such as the founding of the school, accreditation, long-range and annual planning, campus development, curriculum, partnerships, and fundraising, among others.

Conditions Governing Access
Open for research. Materials in Box RG-S are closed to researchers for 75 years from the date of their creation for reasons related to the confidentiality of personnel, student, and other legally protected records.
Conditions Governing Use
Archives collections may contain materials with sensitive or confidential information which is protected under federal or state privacy laws, the North Carolina Public Records Act (N.C.G.S. § 132 1 et seq.), and Article 7 of the North Carolina State Personnel Act (Privacy of State Employee Personnel Records, N.C.G.S. § 126-22 et seq.). Researchers are advised that the disclosure of certain information pertaining to identifiable living individuals represented in the collections without the consent of those individuals may have legal ramifications (e.g., a cause of action under common law for invasion of privacy may arise if facts concerning an individual's private life are published that would be deemed highly offensive to a reasonable person) for which the University of North Carolina School of the Arts assume no responsibility.

The Reports Collection consists of reports and proposals generated by the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and other related entities on topics such as the founding of the school, accreditation, long-range and annual planning, campus development, curriculum, partnerships, and fundraising, among others.
Arrangement
The collection is organized into seven series: Series 1. Founding Reports and Proposals, 1964-1966; Series 2. Self-Study and Accreditation Reports, 1967-1995; Series 3. Chancellors' Reports and Long-Range Plans, 1972-2007; Series 4. Campus Development and Facilities Reports, 1964-2000; Series 5. Faculty Development, Curriculum, and Public Relations Reports, 1971-1996; Series 6. Regional Partnership and Initiative Reports, 1970-1988; and Series 7. Budget and Fundraising Reports, 1965-1999. All series are organized chronologically, with undated material at the end of each series.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Records transferred from UNCSA offices and departments.
Accruals
Additions to the collection will be made regularly as promotional materials are transferred or donated to the Archives.
Processing Information
The collection was arranged into series based on the types of reports represented. Materials were placed in acid-free folders and boxes.
