Abstract This collection is comprised of photographs, ephemera, published materials, and newspaper articles dedicated to the career and legacy of Edward “Eddie” Stierle. Materials document his competition wins, enrollment as a high school student at the North Carolina School of the Arts, career with the Joffrey Ballet, and his death from AIDS complications in 1991. "Larry" Ropp was the first Director of Costumes at the North Carolina School of the Arts and created costumes for a range of school and local productions in addition to teaching courses in costume history, design, and construction. Abstract Sandra 'Sandy' Williams was a student in the North Carolina School of the Arts (NCSA) School of Dance, graduating from the high school program in 1967 and receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1970. After graduation, Williams worked for NCSA and the North Carolina Dance Theatre as Ballet Mistress.
